Cropping and Editing Images
These are my modifications to an image. I used the crop tool to cut out certain dogs and used the image rotating tool to turn the dogs upside down, on their sides, and just in lots of weird angles.
Tagxedo
This is a Tagxedo I created. I thought of every word that came to my head when I thought about confidence but a few phrases as well. So then I placed each of the words in a tab that randomly generated the words to form an image, and in this case a banana.
Polldaddy
Polldaddy is a unique and easy way to track what people are voting for. You simply go to the website, create your poll, copy the URL, and save! It's easy and fun to use and if I ever want to create a poll I'll be sure to use polldaddy.
Photoshop Paints
This is what I created in Photoshop using five different paints. I also used the text tool to create the word confidence in yellow since my profile is confidence. Now that I know how to use these few key tools. I will be able to use photoshop efficiently and confidently since I know that I am able to use it correctly.
Voki
This is my Voki. A Voki is a character you can create online at Voki.com which can be customized to be anything you want it to.
Using Layers in Photoshop
I don't know if you can tell, but I used photoshop to create several layers and gave each one a different color. I did that because when I dug down through all the layers by using the marquee tool I would be able to tell which one was which.
Monk-e-Mail
Monk-e-Mail is a great internet tool thar can create a funny monkey avatar that say and look just how you want it to. As you can see here, my monkey has glasses, a cowboy hat, and a santa suit, which is exactly the way I wanted it to be.

Cropping is a major part of photoshop that not only can make an image look brighter, but can also correct mistakes. I also created this to represent a characteristic of a confident person. This is supposed to be showing that no matter where life may take you, you have to be confident that you're going the right way.
Glogster
Glogster is an easy to use and intersting tool at the disposal of millions for free. The site offered many poster tools, such as intricate text boxes, wallpaper settings, and so much more. This tool helped me convey and explain my ideas clearly and I'll be sure to use whenever I get the chance to.
Cloning Images
As you can tell, there is a slight difference between these photos. That's becuase cloning works by taking part of the image, and placing it somewhere else depending on where we click. Cloning is a popular tool among photoshop editors, and I have discovered why, because it is an innovative tool that can make any image look exactly how you want it to.
Getting Tricky With Wikis
It was tough being the teacher. Lots of people were being really helpful and doing what they were told. However, those who didn't made it really difficult because they didn't care about what they were doing even though our grades were on the line. I would have liked a little more respect but I don't think I could have done much about that.
Background Filter
As you can tell, I used a special background filter on an imagewhich gave everything a box-like appearence. After that I used the history brush tool which reset the image to what it normally looked like. Now the image I shose resembles confidence because confidence is believing in yourself and this cat truly showed that.
Scratch
Scratch is a really fun and easy to use tool that lets you create plays and puppet shows in seconds. You can also add your distinct and creative backgrounds in your files or just create your own. I used the tool well in my opinion and I'm proud to show what I made in Scratch.
Hue and Saturation
Hue and Saturation is a tool that can change the tint of the image, in this case it is green. Now you might not be able to tell but the front of the car doesn't have a green tint to it and it looks normal compared to the rest of the image.
Shadow Effect
The shadow effect is a combination of tools that can create a realistic shadow. It's a very complicated trick but I was still able to finish most of the main project despite the fact that I needed to check my work with an online video as well as ask for help on several occasions.
Collage
This is the grand finale of my work in photoshop, The Collage. The collage is basically a sum of all the main skills we've been working on in the class is an artistic and bold way that not only looks good but also reflects a piece of the attitude I've been trying to express all year.
The End: How I View Confidence
Throughout this semester, I've spent a lot of time putting in my full effort to paint a picture of what confidence is by using photoshop. Each picture has a different meaning of confidence; like the car with the hue of green, which resembles the fact that those who are confident stay true to who they are. Another one of my pieces that doesn't make a lot of sense is my crop picture, which is a way I tried to explain that no matter where life takes you, you have to get a grip and stand up for what is right. As a student of St. Mary's I believe that confidence is standing up for what you believe in, it doesn't matter what everyone else believes as long as you still believe in yourself.
